Kanye West to Countersue Ex-Assistant
Kanye “Ye” West is planning to take legal action against his former assistant, who has accused him of sexual harassment, breach of contract and wrongful termination.
Earlier this week, Lauren Pisciotta filed a civil lawsuit against the “Heartless” rapper, whom she claims sent her sexually explicit texts and obscene photos – as well as performed lewd acts in front of her – while working as his assistant from July 2021 to September 2022.
The 35-year-old influencer/model also accused West of failing to adjust her annual salary of $1 million to $4 million after he allegedly promoted her to executive status in August 2022 – she was fired a month later, but supposedly did not receive her severance package worth $3 million.
Soon afterwards, a representative for the 46-year-old rapper released the following statement:
“In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected.
“It is evident that Ms Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout and employment through inappropriate means
